PG&E Works to Restore Power to Thousands of San Mateo County Customers, Stanford University

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — PG&E crews worked through the night to restore power to thousands of people in San Mateo County.

At one point, the outage affected up to 9,000 customers, mostly near the Edgewood fire area.

PG&E says it hopes power will be restored between 6 a.m. and noon at the latest.

Stanford University also suffers a severe power outage.

The university says PG&E did not provide time for an estimated fix.

Classes and summer camps are canceled for Wednesday.

The school hopes to give an update at 10 a.m.
