As violent crime rises in cities across the country, six Democratic-run cities are set to top bloody 2021 statistics.

Washington, D.C. GOP mayoral candidate Stacia Hall joined “Fox & Friends First” Thursday to discuss the impact of violence on the city and why she’s running to change the narrative.

“In DC, it’s our nation’s capital,” Hall told co-host Carley Shimkus. “It is, to me, the leading city of our nation, and it should be a model city, but it is not. Liberals here pander to special interests.”

Hall also pointed to the hypocrisy of the Black Lives Matter movement, urging the organization’s white supporters to demand action as crime continues to cripple the city.

“You should stand up for the Black Lives Matter movement that you support,” Hall said, calling on people who support the movement to draw attention to the killings in minority neighborhoods and to contact Democratic Mayor Muriel Bowser.

The nation’s capital also saw violent crime continue to rise in 2022, recording a 12% increase in such incidents from 2021 at the midpoint of this year.

“We need wisdom,” Hall said. “We need more police. We need community involvement. We need everyone to pull together to bring back a safer District of Columbia.”
