No sign of Russian military threat against Lithuania

Finland sees no signs of a Russian military buildup around Kaliningrad and Lithuania in their dispute over the transit of EU-sanctioned goods. “Russia took units from the Kaliningrad region and [nearby] Suwalki area, so they don’t really have any military capability or presence. We have not seen any change in their posture, so we believe it is highly unlikely that they will engage in military aggression,” a senior Finnish diplomat said Thursday.
